A: Teacher/Curriculum Grant Applications may be obtain from your Hawaii Catholic School principal or by calling the Foundation directly at (808) 203-6748.

Q: Who is eligible to apply for a grant?

A: Teachers and staff from the Hawaii Catholic School System.

Q: How much are your grants for?

A: Our grants are awarded up to $5,000.

Q: How much do you grant every school year?

A: On average, $20,000 is awarded each year, ranging from a few hundred dollars to $5,000.

Q: What types of grant requests are typically funded?

A: Teacher training, professional development and curriculum development for students.

Q: What types of grants requests are typically not funded?

A: The Foundation does not traditionally fund more than 50% of the total cost of the project/program, building improvements, construction/capital campaigns, furniture, equipment, technology hardware/software and multi-year grants.

Q: Does the Foundation do recurring/multi-year grants?

A: No, not typically.  Grants are awarded on a yearly basis.

Program Dates

  • April 1 – Grant Applications available
  • June 1 – Grant Applications due to Foundation offices
  • July 1 – Grant applicants are notified
  • September 30 – Grantees checks are sent to school principal
